Dr. Candice Bledsoe is a thought leader, professor, and social entrepreneur. She is the executive director of the Action Research Center. Her research explores equity, access, and the narratives of the underrepresented. She leads the Women of Color Collective. Dr. Bledsoe has received numerous fellowships including: The National Endowment of Humanities, the New Leadership Academy, National Center of Institutional Diversity, University of Michigan, the Boone Family Foundation, and Dallas Public Voices.
Currently, she is faculty at the SMU Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education and SMU Cox School of Business. She is also the Director of Research & Communications at the SMU Hunt Institute for Engineering and Humanity.
Dr. Bledsoe received her Doctorate in Education from University Southern California. She also holds degrees from Baylor and Southern Methodist University.
